Who We Are:

The Celtic Pipeline has been in operation since September 1997 in Edmonton, and since 2002
in Calgary. Our goal is to provide the pipers, drummers and pipe bands of Alberta and beyond

with a source of knowledgeable service, quality products and reasonable prices.

The face of the Celtic Pipeline in Edmonton is Arnie Stone with the Calgary shop

being run by daughter Monica Marchi and son-in-law Garret Marchi .

Arnie began his piping career in Vancouver with the teaching of  P.M. Edmond Esson MBE and

won many solo piping prizes and band contests with the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada.

Arnie was a founding member of the Grade I Alberta Caledonia Pipe Band, and competed with

them for many years. Upon leaving Alberta Caledonia, Iain MacCrimmon and Arnie co-founded the

Big Rock Pipe Band of which Arnie was pipe major for many years. Following retirement from

Big Rock, he was head instructor of the Edmonton Boys Pipe Band for six years.

When the Edmonton Public School Board opened Vimy Ridge Academy in September 1999,

Arnie was approached and accepted the position of head of the pipe band option.

Monica is a piper as well, having played with the Big Rock Pipe Band in Edmonton and the

Calgary Scottish Pipe Band in Calgary.

Monica, Garret and Arnie welcome your inquires and look forward to being of service to the

piping and drumming community for many years to come.
